TOP TIPS FOR WORRY-FREE TRIPS.

Top tips for worry-free trips

Want to stop worrying about airport stress and start planning what you’re going to do when you land? Start right here, with these travel no-brainers:

⏰ Get to the airport on time

That means not too early, and not too late. Arrive two hours prior to departure for a short-haul flight, and three hours prior for a long-haul flight. The only exception? If your departure airport or chosen airline advises otherwise.

👩🏽‍💻 Check in online

We recommend doing this, even if your airline doesn’t request it. Checking in online means you can head straight to baggage drop or security. You’ll also be able to choose your seats in advance and add more bags or other extras to your booking for a lower fee than you would at the airport.

🛄 Prepare for airport security

The more you prep for security, the faster the process will be. Here’s a refresher on security etiquette:

  • All liquids and creams must be in containers of 100 ml or less and able to fit into one transparent plastic bag (that you can get at the airport).
  • You need to take any laptops and portable electronics out of your hand luggage before joining the line.
  • You may have to remove items of clothing such as coats, belts, and footwear.

✍🏻 Sort out your travel insurance

Treat yourself to some decent travel insurance and choose a policy that covers travel disruptions. You’ll be able to claim back compensation if you miss your flight due to delays, or if it gets canceled. Make sure you know your rights, too. If your flight is canceled and you’re offered a replacement that doesn’t match what you booked, you’re not obliged to take it.

Now, all that’s left to worry about is which stores to hit at the airport…
