Things to do in Kampala at night.

Kampala is the national and commercial capital city of Uganda the Pearl of Africa and yes, I do call it the heart of Uganda. Well as it is a busy cooperate center, it is also filled with a lot of interesting yet decent and adventurous things to experience at  Kampala nightfall and well, I do invite you on this journey of quenching your imagination and ambition of the “to do list” in Kampala at night and they are as follows;

Night City stroll

Most of the people are used to only moving around the city during the day, but how about a trek under the stars with the cool night gentle breeze with some quietness and calmness instead of the rush hour and the noise of the day. It is the best experience walking tour of swaying swiftly while admiring the beauty, lifestyle and assets of Kampala at night with all the lights lit up and some soothing music playing on your music gadget for example a beatbox.  Wow, is it not therapy in its own? and of course with security and a guide.

Salsa Nights

There is a huge and growing-Latina dance scene in Kampala along with other dances like kizomba and bachata. The dance community will gather almost every night of the week in places around the city. This is a great way to meet new people and learn something new.

Quiz Nights

Several restaurants around the city run quiz nights via the weekdays that can be attended alone or with a group friends. It also good for social networking and expanding one’s knowledge.

Night Local Football Matches

A football super fan, are you? Or are you after an experience of the Ugandan way of enjoying football?  The football games happening in the evening hours can be hosted in various entertainment and eat out places around Kampala. Explicit way to experience the native interactions filled with laughter, betting and debates over football.

Live band and Poetry

Songs sung by a given band and Poetry read with African rhythms and heritage in an even fall is a must attend to experience the beauty of African heritage.

Host Dinner Nights

Plan a beautiful evening away from home hosted by a given person in a nice cozy restaurant where you get to catch up with friends or family over dinner.

Night Picnic

Yes, mostly a picnic is a day event but why not do it different this time? This gives a different vibe and experience.  A candle or lamp lit picnic by a stream/lake with those mild waves hitting against the shore with good music playing in the background. Oh! Isn’t just your imagination satisfied even before experiencing it?

Night outdoor/indoor Cinema

Watch your package of movies with loved ones over some popcorn and refreshments via the weekend with work put aside. One can choose to set up a projector, comfortable chairs or a nice rug with pillows outside and watch a movie with the crickets or watch from within the comfort of your house and if that doesn’t suite you, you can go to an actual established cinema facility.

Concerts/Shows/Plays

One can mark the set dates and attend the given concerts, plays and shows of his preference for example attend your favorite musician concert, watch the Eboni’s perform at Theater Labonita, The Fun factory among others.
