Overview
This 3-day gorilla trek safari takes you to the misty Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, which is home to more than half the population of the remaining 720 Mountain Gorillas. Bwindi Impenetrable forest offers a unique birding opportunity, cultural experiences, a scenic allure of stunning hills and lush vegetation inhabited by the elusive primates. The gorilla trek activity is the most enchanting experience in this forest. You will have an experience of a life time watching at close range.

Tour Plan
You will set off after breakfast for an 8-9 hour drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in the southwestern part of the country. You will have a stopover at the Equator where you will have an opportunity to stand in 2 hemispheres at the same time and take some photos. You will make another stopover for lunch en route before continuing with your journey to Bwindi arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight will be at your camp.

Upon rising, enjoy breakfast and later report to the Park head offices at 7:00 AM for a pre-trekking briefing on the code of conduct while tracking for the magnificent creatures. This lasts between 2 – 7 hours to locate the giants; have an hour with them and after this encounter, return to the starting point for a certificate of participation before driving to your camp. Have lunch and in the afternoon, proceed for a guided cultural tour of the Batwa Pygmies and learn more about their daily practices. Dine and rest at the same camp as on Day 1.

Wake up early in the morning, have your breakfast, end your stay in the "Land of the Mountain Gorillas" and depart with great memories of the moments spent with the fascinating Mountain Gorillas. Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, This lake is said to be one of the most beautiful places in western Uganda. It is the second deepest lake in Africa [900 meters deep] and also one of the few places in the country where it is considered safe to swim as it is bilharzias free. Take canoe on this lake before back to Entebbe with lunch en-route, then proceed to Entebbe Airport where you will catch your flight back home.
